I'm a makeup artist who loves her makeup
(hence ladylikeshermakeup) and I really love an awesome application tool as well as a smashing application technique to get me through a flawless BEAT. I'm a huge fan of blending sponges and the quick
& effortless application they allow me to have. But of course there's a negative for every positive, and my negative for blending sponges (especially the triangle ones) are that they can get away for me when I'm working with intense pro artist speed :) In other words I drop them lol, and a dropped sponge means I have to reach for a new sponge...
It was only a few months ago I was doing my daily internet search for new products and tools, when I came across The Makeup Bullet,"The hot new HiDef Cosmetic Sponge that fits snugly on your finger to give u speed, control & precision in ur makeup application!" . This new product is the brain child of Emmy Award winning makeup artist Eva Jane. After researching a watching a YouTube video, I was instantly intrigued but had doubts of how well it could preform and hold up to my little artsy hands...
A Makeup Bullet was sent to me recently and I must say I fell in love at first feel. The Makeup Bullet feels amazing, the texture is soft but sturdy and gave each of my fingers a snug fit.
The moment of truth...
I was a little nervous to only use The Makeup Bullet to apply my concealer and foundation. Not because it seemed impossible but because The Makeup Bullet is so neat and small, I was concerned that it's sweet size (smaller than an Beauty Blender) wouldn't hold up once I got to working with it.
However, I had no problem with it at all. I was able to blend my under eye concealer with ease, as the pointed tip gave me a more effective reach.
Pointed tipped blending sponges dont always live up to having a precise point and that can be a pain in my makeup kit. lol
Using the Makeup Bullet was fun and an overall nice tool.
I will only say this one caution be very careful slipping her on your finger as
I can see many people ripping them in a rush to get it on.
This is one tool I will be stocking up on!
