Who doesn't want a fresh flawless face?? We all want flawless skin or to at least look like we have flawless skin. I've been asked by many of my followers about picking the right foundation shade. It's a skill that requires some patience to learn. Watch my video I created to explain how to select the right shade of foundation.
Before jumping into shade matching you will want to first pick the foundation formula right for your skin type.
Problem: Which formula to choose?? Stick, Cream, Liquid, or Powder
Solution: Your skin type will determine which formula is best for you.
Oily/ Combination Skin: Of course "Oil- Free" liquid formulas and powder foundations are going to be the best choice for your skin. This formulas contain oil absorbing properties to give you a matte finish. Most of the time oily skin types are prone to breakouts. Allow your foundation to help you, choose a foundation formula that contains Salicylic Acid. This property will help absorb oil located in your pores.
Dry Skin: You're going to the best canidate for a liquid, skick, or cream foundation. All of these formulas are going to be "creamy" and deliver moisture to your skin. These formulas will offer more coverage, so when using them remember a little goes a long way.
The one foundation formula that is universal for all skin types is powder. If your not sure just try a powder foundation. You'll get a soft natural finish and be able to control oily spots.
