It has been super humid and hot lately here in the Nation's Capitol, thus giving me the perfect reason to whip out my one of all time favorite foundation primer.

Hourglass Veil mineral Primer!!!

Primers are a key product in makeup application. They come in an assortment of textures, colos, and ablities. In my personal "makeup book" product ablities would be the most important of these. Tthere is one very important thing you must understand about this product make up.

#1 It's water resistant NOT waterproof. BIG Difference.

Plain and simple terms:

Water Resistant = Resisting though NOT entirely preventing the movement of makeup exposed to moisture.

Waterproof = Preventing the movement of makeup due to exposure to moisture.

When: This primer should be used under your foundation as a base to prep your skin for long term foundation wearing.

Why: To minimize pores by preping skin for foundation application, while providing a water resistant barrier.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towlettes                                                               

As a Makeup Artist I wear makeup almost everyday.  But the time spent applying my makeup isn’t the amount of time I would like to spend taking it all off. I have tried a long list of different brands of makeup removers. Some of them were liquid cleansers that kept me at the sink for at least 10 minutes, while others needed the assistance of cotton pads.  Product textures scare me but I’m a self proclaim product junky, so if it at least looks like it is worth trying, I’ll try it. There are oily removers, creamy removers, gel removers and watery removers. And all of them claim to do the same thing… Remove makeup effortlessly.

 Neutrogena got it right with these wipes. Washing off makeup has never been so easy. It seriously takes me only one of these wipes to remove a full face of makeup. And in my professional opinion that is exactly how it should be.

 How: Use the front and backside of 1 to 2 wipes tp remove your makeup.

When: These wipes are to be used when ever you’re ready to remove your makeup.

Why: I continue to use these wipes because they’re fast, affordable, and work perfectly.

I get asked all the time about my favorite makeup products. And every time my answer is different. I am a flat-out official Makeup junky. I love trying new products all the time. But there are a few products that I refuse to replace.

Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Potion Primer!!!!

I soooooo heart this product!!!!!!  It is and does everything it claims. And any product like that can stay on my list of must haves. Originally it came in a tube with a wand, but you could never get all the product out. So I thank Urban Decay and my lucky makeup stars for changing up the package to a squeeze tube. Now it’s perfect. 

Who: Urban Decay

What: It’s an eyeshadow primer that prevent creasing really well. And has proven to me to be able to keep eyeshadow in place for an ENTIRE day. There are four kinds available. But my favorite is the original.

How: Just squeeze out a small pea size  and rub it on your eyelids. Apply eyeshadow and eyeliner and LaDa your done and you have just guaranteed yourself long-lasting eyeshadow and liner for the day.

When: You are to use this product on your eyelids  before you apply your eyeshadow.

Where: Urbandecay.com Sephora or Ulta

Why: I continue to use this product because it’s a truly honest product, it does exactly what it claims.
