I had the oportunity to link up with Mr. Cedric Terrell, an amazing photographer!!! We talked via emails about this glamourous but yet mysterious gem mask look I had been dying to have the chance to create. Cedric agreed to work with me and… Magic was made!
It took me an hour and thirty minutes to carefully glue each gem one by one on to my model’s face. Thank God my lovely assistant Michelle G. was there to pass me each one.
Now styling isn’t really my thing but I dab my hands into it every now and then. And because I knew how I wanted my model to look, I went ahead and decided to take on the challenge of styling this look. So off to my local JoAnn Fabric store I went. There, I was able to come across some dark black and sheer fabric. Instantly I thought "create a cape and gear the look along the lines of a GLAMOURS SUPER SHEro". The end result…

Video Girl
Early this year, maybe Feb., I linked up with published model Ms. DaLivia. We chatted a bit about makeup during a photo shoot, exchanged #’s and that was that so I thought. So when she called me the night before her shoot explaining that she need a mua at the last minute, I helped her out and showed up. I arrived thinking that this would just be a normal glamour photo shoot, instead it was a photo shoot/promo video shoot. My 1st time applying makeup for "serious" video/film purposes!!! I was definitely excited and did a really great job. And I even got a small cameo in the very beginning of the video. Check it out and comment please.

2011 Billboard Awards
I love music and like most of you watching the 2011 Billboard Awards was on my tv menu last night. Watching the clebs accept awards for their accomplishments was nice, but the makeup artist in me really only wanted to see who would show up and show out with the best makeup look. While majority of the makeup was the usual controlled smokey eye, I knew a selected few wouldn’t let me down.
Beyonce…
The one to watch! Miss Beyonce showed up wearing a beautiful mauve shimmer brown smokey eye. Same old smokey eye you say…. welp your wrong. Beyonce is holding down the newest trend in smokey eyes by wearing bottom smoke. Unlike Fergie, who’s rockin the normal smokey eye. Beyonce’s makeup artist took the smokey eye to the next level. By applying and blending out her eyeshadow underneath of the eye as well, Beyonce was instantly given a bolder look without a ton of eyeliner and mascara on the bottom rim of her eyes.
Rihanna…
While I wasn’t a fan of her red hair at first, it has grown on me and with this particular look it works. With hair that already says” look at me now” lol. It was only natural that her makeup be on the opposite scale of things. This soft glowing look was really on point. Rihannna’s lips color follows this season nude, neutral and pink look. I loved it!
Kelly Rowland…
Check out Ms. Rowland aka Your Motivation! She has turned her makeup game all the way around with this look. Kelly has never really strayed to far away from the smokey eye and the natural look. So when I saw miss lady rockin this look I knew I had to talk about it. She looks so fresh and bright. Another one of my favorite makeup trend, inner crease color. Kelly wore a purple inner crease last night. Keeping up with this season’s pink lip look and carrying those blushed cheeks so well, she looks amazing.

Once upon a Prom
Normally, I get tied up in weddings and Photo shoots that I almost never really get the chance to do prom makeovers. But this year since the official launch of LadyLike, I had plans for going on the hunt for Prom makeovers to build up my clientel. But to my surprise I didn’t have to “hunt” for Prom makeovers. My phone has rung off the hook for them instead. So since prom season is coming to an end I decided to post a few before and after pics of some of these makeovers. What do you think?
